Horn Studio Honor Code

1. I will support, with my words and my actions, the Horn Studio at the

University of Alabama.

2. I will be constructive in my dealings with colleagues in the studio.

3. I will actively try to help other members of the studio and create a more

positive environment in which all members of the studio can learn and excel to their greatest potential.

4. I will not say anything negative, or in any way degrading, about any

colleague in the horn studio to anyone other than the individual in

question or the horn teacher.

5. I will make every attempt to phrase my concerns expressed to a colleague

in a positive and supportive way.

6. I will not participate in any conversation, passively or actively, that

unduly, or any way maliciously criticizes one of my colleagues in the

Horn Studio.

7. I will actively try to promote understanding, communication, and

comradery among my studio colleagues.

8. I will not say anything at any time about a colleague in the Horn Studio

that I would not say directly to that colleague.

9. I will not make any statement to, or about, a colleague that is not intended

to be helpful and constructive, or funny. (Jokes are acceptable)

10. I will make every attempt to be fully prepared and on time to all musical

functions of which I am a part.

11. I will always maintain myself as the very best example of the qualities,

both musically and personally, that I expect to see in my colleagues.
