Course Requirements:

1)     A horn.

2)     Attendance at all scheduled class times.

3)     Performance in all designated Recitals/Concerts.

 

Evaluations:

1)     All students will be evaluated based on their individual potential for success

contrasted with the actual level of achievement. This relates to actual playing of the horn in addition to preparation for, and participation in, class discussions. This is open for review at any time. (50%)

2)     Each student will perform/participate in appropriate experiences in class as

            designated by the instructor.

3)     Level of performance in Horn Class recitals/concerts.

March 5-7, 2004 – Southeast Horn Workshop

April 26, 2004 (7:30 p.m.) – Horn Ensembles Concert.

4)     Graded individual in-class performances. Two per semester. (20%)

5)     Listening Exams: Three per semester. (30%)

1.     Solo/chamber works identification exam

2.     Orchestral works identification exam

3.     Player identification exam
