Dear Sir or Madam:

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is excited to announce that the 2007 SWE Region D Conference will be hosted by The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It will be held March 2nd-4th. This event is expected to attract over 250 engineering students and professionals from the Southeast United States.

The theme for the conference will be “Engineering Tomorrow’s Infrastructure”. The conference will focus on how engineers play a role in our nation’s infrastructure. A welcome picnic will be held on Friday when participants first arrive. We will also offer sixteen information sessions and professional development workshops. Various guest speakers, discussing topics such as homeland security and alternative fuels, will speak at the conference as well.

In order to make this conference successful and beneficial for its participants, we need your assistance. We rely on corporate sponsorships to fund our events. We would like to invite you to contribute to this meaningful event. On our website, you will find the Sponsorship Levels that outline the various packages for sponsorship and the benefits for each along with the form you will need to complete and submit to be a sponsor. After you have reviewed the packet, let me know if you have any questions. Please view our conference website for additional information and any updates at http://bama.ua.edu/~swe/conference2007.htm.

I really appreciate you taking time to consider sponsorship of the 2007 SWE Region D Conference.

Sincerely,

Morgan C. Harrison
