Hello Fellow SWE Members,
As chairman of the 2007 Region D Conference, I wish to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of myself and the University of Alabama (UA) SWE section! We look forward to seeing each of you Friday night at the Alabama Museum of Natural History where you will have the opportunity to view natural science collections and interact with fellow SWE members in a casual atmosphere. Dean Karr will personally welcome you Saturday to the College of Engineering before you attend the career fair and a wide array of workshops which aim to increase your exposure to future engineering technologies, instill an appreciation of interdisciplinary teamwork within engineering, and provide opportunities for professional growth. Additionally, our keynote speaker on Saturday night will be former SWE president Alma Martinez Fallon proceeded by entertainment provided by our very own UA students!
The UA SWE section is greatly honored by the opportunity to host the 2007 Regional Conference and will endeavor to make it both a fun and informative experience for everyone. We look forward to seeing you in Tuscaloosa!
