PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION

The purpose of the Alabama Classical Association is to promote, improve and extend the study and appreciation of Classical Languages and culture at all educational levels in the State of Alabama.

For this reason, the ACA provides an annual program of workshops, lectures, or demonstrations, issues a newsletter, and maintains a relationship to other organizations with similar purposes, such as the Junior Classical League in this State.

OFFICERS OF ACA

The President is appointed annually.

The Vice President is elected to office by a majority vote of members present at a regularly called meeting. The vice-president serves for one year and then serves for a second year as President of the Association.

The Secretary/Treasurer serves for a term of two years.

These three officers, along with the immediate past presidents, constitute the Executive Committee.
