Application Overview
1. Let the Program Director know you are interested. See the Checklist.
2. Obtain your passport! See the Checklist for more details.
3. When the application time begins, complete the application forms available from Capstone International or online at this website. Check this site daily for updates about when the application process will start.
4. When you DO have the application, be ABSOLUTELY certain that the classes you list are available and that you do NOT select two classes that are taught at the same time. Refer to the Class Schedule for the list of classes and times. NOTE: Some classes do have prerequisites. Also, availability depends on the number of enrolled students. Check with the Program Director if you need any help.
5. Follow the other steps on the Checklist page.
Classes and Scheduling
Cick HERE to check the schedule of what classes are offered when. IMPORTANT!!!! Be certain to sign up for classes based on time availability and prerequisites. You can check the prerequisites by clicking the class title or by viewing a list of courses and descriptions by clicking Program Info and Classes from the menu at the top left.
To make it easier for you to go to Spain with this program, we've put together everything you need from how to apply to how to get around once you are there. The Register page and menu provide you with the application forms you will need to print and to submit to Capstone International, explain the minimum requirements for courses, help you find the classes offered, and direct you to Capstone International's webpage for additional information about traveling abroad with the University of Alabama. The 2. Get Ready to Go page and menu items help you with obtaining a U.S. passport, give you critical instructions to use on the day you depart for Spain, provide a checklist to help you prepare, let you download a brochure that gives you general information about Spain and the program in general (such as how to call the U.S. from Spain), provide important safety information you need to know, and give a link to a calendar of important dates. The 3. Go menu items and page provide another way to find information you need for departure day and give general travel tips. The 4.While in Spain page and menu items provide you with information about making phone calls, using cell phones, a link to the class schedule, information about public transportation, a link to maps of the city of Alcala de Henares, information about housing, and a link to a page of frequently asked questions (FAQ's) and answers and more.
