Eric Stough

Eric Stough is the president of the SPS chapter at UA. He is a sophomore majoring in Physics and (possibly) Mathematics. He is also working on a minor in the University Honors Program. Eric is from Randolph, Alabama, about thirty miles from Tuscaloosa for those of you who don't know where that is. In his spare time, Eric enjoys reading books of all subjects, just about anything he can get his hands on. He also likes to modify and upgrade electronics, such as cell phones and stereos.

Eric worked in the admissions department of the UA law school this past summer and continues in this position during the school year. Eric has a strong passion for physics and for organizations such as SPS that help students find confidence and community while in college and get a feel for the professional community within their field that they will soon become a part of. As physics is such a broad, all encompassing field and can also lead into many other career paths, Eric is still unsure as to what his chosen path will be. SPS specifically targets those students who would like to find out more about the different fields that physics has to offer, so Eric will be a great president as he explores his own interests and helps other students do the same. Wish him luck in his first year in the job!
