UPC RECENT EVENTS

Keever Harris Awards 2005

Rev. Bob Keever, who was the Presbyterian Campus Minister at the University of Alabama, was also the founding Pastor of University Presbyterian Church. Tennessee Harris was a charter member and the first treasurer of UPC and husband of Margie Harris. When Bob Keever left UPC, a fund for student leadership was established in his honor. At the death of Tennessee Harris, it became the Keever Harris Fund. The fund continues to be open and accept contributions. The interest from the Keever Harris Fund is used to present financial awards honoring outstanding student leaders.

During worship on April 17, 2005, we were proud to present the Keever Harris Award for Student Leadership to three outstanding students: Jed Dews, Steven Hardy, and Brandon Miles.
