UA Visitors


		Visiting Writers A pair of fine endowments enables us to bring visiting writers of national and international reputation as well as up-and-comers to UA. Coal Royalty Chairholders visit for residencies of one week to an entire semester, teaching classes, giving readings, having conferences with students and participating in program activities. And the Bankhead Visiting Writers Series produces 10-12 residencies of varying duration each year. The diversity of the visiting population adds immeasurably to the kinds of stimulation and criticism student writers receive.
